The Skanner News 2024 Presidential Endorsement

It will come as no surprise that we strongly endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for president.

We want to remind our readers that Harris is a strong candidate on her merits, not just as an alternative to the chaos and irreparable harm — to American society and to the environment — that are inevitable with a second Donald Trump term.

Kamala Harris has offered policy solutions to issues of affordability in everything from groceries to healthcare.

Further, Harris will continue to be a stalwart defender of reproductive rights. What we have seen since the end of Roe v. Wade is the disastrous outcome of giving the government leeway to weigh in on how and if a woman can have agency over her own health. Harris not only saw this coming, she had the courage to call it out.

Harris has the savvy and composure of a former prosecutor who sought out public service above mere publicity. She has a clear moral compass, and is dedicated to the success and well-being of all Americans. Harris is composed, thoughtful, experienced and imminently qualified to be president of the United States.

Please remember that every vote counts. Our electoral system is such that presidential races can and have come down to the difference of a few dozen votes. Do not sit this one out. Vote to preserve our democracy. Vote for Kamala Harris.
