With COVID-19 taking away Portland's annual live festival this year, KBOO community radio, and KOIN TV, Portland's CBS affiliate, are broadcasting memorable performances from years past.
KOIN 6 will host a two-hour "Flashback and Fireworks" special celebrating some of the most memorable performances from the Waterfront Blues Festival, capped off with a replay of the awe-inspiring fireworks show over the Willamette River. From the comfort of your living room, Ken Boddie (and special festival guests) will have you reliving some of the magical musical moments from the Waterfront. The show airs on Saturday, July 4 from 9 pm to 11 pm on channel 6. You can also view online at www.koin.com.
KBOO radio will carry the Waterfront Blues Festival from noon Pacific time until 7 pm both Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5. Local Portlanders can catch all the excitement on 90.7 FM and festival friends across the world can join in at https://kboo.fm/listen-now. Blues Fest On Air will feature two full days, July 4th and 5th from 12 pm to 7 pm, of crowd-favorites sets and behind-the-scenes stories from the Waterfront Blues Festival throughout the years.
All purchased passes for the 2020 festival will be honored for the 2021 festival (July 2-5, 2021). Contact Ticket Tomato for more information, at 1-800-820-9884 or [email protected].
